Style Tribute : Eli Gold

Eli Gold may only be a fictitious character (existing in CBS hit drama The Good Wife) but his sharp sense of style, contrasted against the mahogany background of Chicago’s Law scene, still propels him into the inaugural feature of Vinspi’s Style Tribute series.
For those who don’t follow the show (seriously… you should start), Alan Cumming plays the shrewd and ambitious, yet witty and personable political spin doctor named Eli Gold.
Tasked with steering through the treacherous world that is campaign politics, Gold comes out on top in both the polls and, more importantly, the style department.

Gold is proof that staying true to classic styles can be a standout look in the office. Never over the top but always nicely balanced, you do always need to be bold for your style to be appreciated.
All of Gold’s suits in the show are well tailored, without being too tight, around the chest and waist. The result is a stylish and sleek appearance that matches Cumming’s slender frame.

Great looking peaked lapel suit. Stylish yet not overly formal
Gold also seems to be a big fan of the plain shirt and striped tie combo. Maybe a little too corporate for most, but you can’t say it doesn’t work.
Clearly the wardrobe team for Gold’s character believe that ties are the centerpiece and choosing bold stripes works well on his grey and navy suits.

Throw in the immaculately combed hair and array of classic timepieces, the result is a stylish wardrobe repertoire that any man can follow.
Spinning the truth never looked better.
